Been in the beta for months, haven't play much of it. Wasn't particularly impressed, mostly because i had no idea what was going on since none of the parts have (had?) descriptions, and it seemed that only the atlas was useable. It's probably changed by now though, i just don't feel like reinstalling the beta client.
for anyone interested. mechwarrior online announced that if you now buy a founders package, $30,60,120, depending on how much stuff you get, you are automatically granted beta access. it is still in the closed beta phase.

word on the grapevine is that the game is going open beta on tuesday the 16th. it is FtP. if you did not buy a founders package, you will start with 4 trial mechs that you can not alter, eg customize weapon loadout, but you will have no repair bills. eventually you will earn enough c-bills to buy your own mech that you can do with as you please.
