W4PLAY Dedicated COD



This is by all means NOT everything you might run into. It is a brief outline. If you run

into trouble you may need to talk to someone that got this to work.



Install the client:

-------------------



1. Go to the IW4PLAY website and register; it's free: http://iw4play.net/forum/ucp.php?mode=register



2. Log into the forms with your new account information.



3. Download the dedicated multiplayer client for your game. In this example MW2. :

4. Create a folder for you IW4Play files. Something like: "C:\Program Files (x86)\IW4play"



5. Go to the steam apps directory for your game. (MW2). "C:/Program Files(86)/Steam/steamapps/common/"



6. Copy your game directory; not cut, not move, COPY. "C:/Program Files(86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2"



7. Go to the new directory you created in step 4.



8. Paste the game directory in this location.



9. Open the zip file you downloaded in step 3. Extract the LaunchIW4Play.exe file to your new directory.



10. Run LaunchIW4Play.exe



- use the credentials you set up when you registered in step 1 to access the game.

- The app downloads a bunch of files, be patient.

- The game may launch when the downloads complete. If it doesn't, close everything and run LaunchIW4Play.exe again.





Connect to a server:

1. When the game launches you can select "Browse Servers"



2. To connect to steelio's server, Press the tilde key "~".

type "connect 70.228.120.241:28961"



3. You should connect.



4. You will likely need to update your game settings.



5. Have fun playing.
